As you probably know, DCOM is used to exchange data and to transfer RPC level information between client and server. This DCOMbobulator is a totally free tool to detect and check if you have properly installed the Microsoft patch for DCOM.

Another function of DCOMbobulator is to disable directly (and permanently) the DCOM service. This way, you get port 135 to be idle and it can't be accessed by external threats to your computer.

DCOMbobulator also allows tests of vulnerability of the ports of your computer to see if some undesirable element has entered.
